BARRE YOUTH SPORTS ASSOCIATION, INC.

BY-LAWS

Adopted July 6, 1999

 

Section I - Duty of Officers

The Chair will preside at all regular monthly meetings and perform the duties of the office.  In the absence of the Chair, the Vice Chair will perform the duties of the Chair.  In the absence of the Chair and the Vice Chair, the Treasurer will perform the duties of the Chair.

The Secretary will keep the records of the minutes.

The Treasurer will deposit all funds into the organization account, make reports at meeting on receipts and disbursements, and pay all accounts payable approved for payment by the Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors will formulate the policy for the organization.

The Board of Directors will approve all additions, deletions, and changes to all of the organization's activities.

Section II - Appointment of Committees

The Board is granted authority to make new committees or to eliminate any committee (other than the Sports Program Committee) not functioning properly.

Section III - Conduct of Meetings

All meetings will observe "Roberts Rules of Order" and will be conducted in the manner prescribed as follows:

A.     Meetings called to order.
B.     Receive and Act upon the Secretary's report.
C.     Receive and Act upon the Treasurer's report.
D.     Receive and Act upon the Sports Program Committees' reports.
E.     Act upon unfinished old business.
F.     Act upon new business.
G.     Adjourn
